The Grenada Medical and Dental Council

The Grenada Medical and Dental Council (“GMDC”) or (“the Council”) was established in 2010 by the Health Practitioner’s Act. The principal Act was amended via the Health Practitioner’s Amendment Act, 2019.
The Act and the Amendment outline GMDC’s main functions as follows:
A) Registration and Licensing of medical and dental practitioners; and
B) Accreditation of medical education programmes.
To carry out these functions, GMDC is organised into two Secretariats (1) the Registration & Licensure Secretariat/Administrative Office and (2) the Accreditation Secretariat. Each Secretariat is supported by technical and administrative staff.
